My Approach

Since I was a kid, I’ve had an interest in fashion, design, and personal style. I would sit in my room with dozens of fashion magazines, cut out what I liked, and make a collage of outfits. My mom was crazy enough to let me pick out all my own clothes at thrift stores. Fast-forward 25 years and a few life detours later, I found my way back to what I loved as a kid through colour analysis. What started as a curiosity quickly bloomed into an obsession and then a business! Along the way, and several clients later, I realized colour analysis can benefit anyone, regardless of an interest in fashion or style. There are aspects of fashion that can be toxic, like overconsumption and beauty standards that are out of touch with reality. I see colour analysis as an antidote, as it recognizes that everyone has an innate, unique beauty that shines in the right colours, and it encourages more mindful consumption. Over time, it also means fewer unworn items sitting in your closet.

I also offer body and face shape analysis, which I see as equally useful in boosting your confidence and how you present yourself. I use props and accessories to show how balance works with your body and face shape, so it’s more tangible than just receiving a PDF guide (which you will also get!). The goal of body and face shape analysis is not to change your body physically, but to use certain cuts, shapes, textures, patterns, and silhouettes within clothing to balance out your natural proportions. I will never judge you by your body shape or size, nor will I judge you if you’re not wearing “your” colours. Everything I share is simply a tool you can choose to use for a more polished look. Sometimes personal style and taste goes against your personal colour or shape harmony and that’s okay! The analysis can be an intense experience because it can change the way you see yourself. If you’ve spent your whole life wearing pastels but find out your best colours are deep, rich and earthy, it’s going to change the person you’re looking at in the mirror! What I’ve found with previous clients whose personal style goes against their colour or shape harmony is they see the difference and slowly (or abruptly) acclimatize to the change, and/or they learn how to integrate the two (I provide guidance for this as well!).

My whole approach is built around the scientific principles of colour theory, geometric harmony and proportion, as well as education. I don’t want you to walk away just taking my word for it; I want you to see the difference for yourself and understand why certain colours and shapes work for you, so you can make confident choices long after our session ends. I methodically work through the draping process, often showing colour switches more than once so you can really start to see the comparisons and the difference colour can make. I believe so strongly in the benefits of colour and shape analysis that every service comes with a satisfaction guarantee: if you don’t notice a difference, we’ll retest for free, and if you still don’t notice a difference, you’ll get your money back.
The result of my services is a polished, effortless look that harmonizes with your features, no guesswork, less stress, fewer regret purchases, saved time, and more confidence every time you need to show up looking great. I love that moment when a client looks in the mirror and sees the difference. If you’re interested, I’d love to help you reveal your radiance!
